Account data: Name, email address, business name, and password (stored as a secure hash).
Student & family data: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, lesson history, and lesson notes that you enter about your students.
Payment data: Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and device/browser info for analytics and support.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Service
- To send transactional emails (invoices, reminders, lesson notes)
- To process payments via Stripe
- To respond to support requests
- To send product updates (you may opt out at any time)
We do not sell your data or your students' data to any third party.
3. Data Sharing
We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the platform:
- Stripe — payment processing
- Email provider (SMTP) — sending emails on your behalf
- Hosting provider — secure cloud infrastructure
4. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel or your account is terminated, we will delete your data within 30 days.
5. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users within 72 hours.

We use essential cookies only — to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

TutorHive is a business tool for tutors, not a consumer product for children. Student data entered by tutors is handled with care and never used for advertising.
