Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TutorHive ("the Service") at tutorhive.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use TutorHive.
These Terms apply to all users of TutorHive including tutors, educators, and any other individuals who access the platform.
By creating an account or clicking "Start Free Trial" you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years of age
- Have read and understood these Terms
- Agree to be legally bound by these Terms
- Have the authority to enter into this agreement
Description of Service
TutorHive is an all-in-one tutoring management platform that provides independent tutors and tutoring organizations with tools to:
- Schedule and manage tutoring sessions
- Track student homework and assignments
- Generate and send invoices
- Manage student profiles and session notes
- Track earnings and business performance
- Share a public booking page with students and parents
- Upload and share student materials
- Recognize students with Student of the Month
TutorHive is intended for use by professional tutors and educational organizations. It is not a marketplace for finding tutors or students.
Account Registration
To use TutorHive you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@tutorhive.app
- Ensuring your account information is kept up to date
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same individual. One account per tutor is permitted under the Solo and Pro plans.
Subscription & Billing
Pricing Plans
TutorHive offers the following subscription plans:
- Free — $0/mo — Basic calendar only
- Solo — $10/mo — Up to 5 students
- Pro — $14/mo — Unlimited students + full features
- Center — $29/mo — Multi-tutor organizations
Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly on the date you first subscribed. Payments are processed automatically via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize TutorHive to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
All prices are in USD. TutorHive reserves the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails your account may be downgraded to the Free plan until payment is resolved. We will notify you by email of any failed payments.
No Refund Policy
⚠️ All subscription payments are non-refundable. Once a billing period has begun, no refunds or credits will be issued for partial months, unused features, or early cancellations.
We strongly encourage you to use the 7-day free trial before subscribing to ensure TutorHive meets your needs.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain full access to your account until the period ends.
Exceptions to this policy may be made at TutorHive's sole discretion in cases of technical errors or billing mistakes. To request a review contact support@tutorhive.app.
Free Trial
New users are eligible for one 7-day free trial per account. The following conditions apply:
- A valid payment method is required to start the trial
- You will be automatically charged at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it expires
- Only one free trial is permitted per person regardless of email address used
- Trial abuse — including creating multiple accounts to access additional trials — may result in account suspension
- TutorHive reserves the right to modify or discontinue the free trial at any time
Acceptable Use
You agree to use TutorHive only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Upload or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the service
- Use the platform to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Share your account credentials with third parties
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- Use the platform to send unsolicited communications (spam)
- Misrepresent yourself or your tutoring qualifications
TutorHive reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use guidelines.
Student Data & Privacy
As a tutor using TutorHive you may enter personal information about your students including names, subjects, session notes, and homework assignments. You agree that:
- You have obtained all necessary consents from students and/or their parents/guardians before entering their information
- For students under 13 years of age you have obtained verifiable parental consent
- You will use student data only for legitimate tutoring purposes
- You will not share student data with unauthorized third parties
- You are responsible for the accuracy of student information you enter
TutorHive processes student data on your behalf as a data processor. Our full Privacy Policy is available at tutorhive.app/privacy.
TutorHive complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for EU/UK users, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California users, and applicable US state privacy laws.
Video Conferencing — Zoom & Voov Meeting
TutorHive integrates with third-party video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Voov Meeting, and ClassIn. Please note:
- Tutors must use their own Zoom, Voov, or ClassIn Meeting accounts — TutorHive does not provide video conferencing services
- By using Zoom, Voov, or ClassIn Meeting through TutorHive you agree to their respective terms of service

- TutorHive is not responsible for any issues arising from the use of third-party video conferencing platforms
Intellectual Property
TutorHive and all its content, features, and functionality — including the fox logo, design, code, and branding — are owned by TutorHive and are protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of TutorHive without our express written permission.
Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you upload to TutorHive such as session notes, homework assignments, and student materials. By uploading content you grant TutorHive a limited license to store and display that content for the purpose of providing the service to you.
Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
TutorHive is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
To the maximum extent permitted by law TutorHive shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of data or business interruption
- Any damages arising from unauthorized access to your account
- Any content uploaded by users
- Any issues arising from third party services (Stripe, Netlify, etc.)
Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid to TutorHive in the 3 months prior to the claim.
Termination
Termination by You
You may cancel your account at any time by contacting support@tutorhive.app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be issued for the remaining period.
Termination by TutorHive
TutorHive reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:
- Violate these Terms of Service
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Fail to pay subscription fees
- Abuse the free trial policy
- Use the platform for illegal purposes
Effect of Termination
Upon termination your account data will be retained for 30 days then permanently deleted. You may request a data export before termination by contacting support@tutorhive.app.
Changes to Terms
TutorHive reserves the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Sending an email to your registered email address
- Posting a notice on tutorhive.app
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Your continued use of TutorHive after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of TutorHive shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except where prohibited by law.
